The project aims to <strong>increase the awareness<\/strong> of democratic processes among youth of the Western Balkans and <strong>enhance youth participation<\/strong> in policy-making processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Throughout the project, young people will:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>get involved in real and actual political various issues that challenge the nation,<\/li><li>solve problems faced by nations modeled by a variety of actual problems,<\/li><li>learn about the importance of leadership, organisation, and getting involved with local and national activism, and<\/li><li>adapt their knowledge and skills to be able to become an active citizen promoting democracy.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A total of 108 active and aspiring young leaders (18-30 y\/o) from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and North Macedonia, who are high school and university students, junior\/ entry-level employees working in the civil, state and business sector, will participate in three meetings (2 on-line meetings and the final event in Sarajevo) which will consist of 7 modules (2-3 per meeting):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>introduction to democracy (political process and administration),<\/li><li>linking legislation of practice (impact of legislation to the social system, business environment, etc.),<\/li><li>local politics (vertical division of power and competencies),<\/li><li>active civil sector (human rights, watchdogs of democracy),<\/li><li>communication and campaigns (ethics and integrity, public speaking, political marketing),<\/li><li>project management (management, fundraising, stakeholders mapping),<\/li><li>critical thinking (argumentation, fake news).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Represented <strong>associations<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Humanity in Action<\/strong> &#8211; Bosnia and Herzegovina &#8211; coordinator<\/li><li><strong>Institute of Central Europe<\/strong> &#8211; Poland<\/li><li><strong>ALFA Centar<\/strong> &#8211; Montenegro<\/li><li><strong>Strategic Analysis<\/strong> &#8211; Slovakia<\/li><li><strong>Euro-Atlantic Council of Macedonia<\/strong> &#8211; North Macedonia<\/li><li><strong>Eur\u00f3pai Hallgat\u00f3k H\u00e1l\u00f3zat\u00e1nak Egyes\u00fclete<\/strong> (AEGEE-Budapest) &#8211; Hungary<\/li><li><strong>Be international<\/strong> &#8211; Czech Republic<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com\/uploads.mangoweb.org\/shared-prod\/visegradfund.org\/uploads\/2018\/09\/logo.png\" alt=\"Logo - Visegrad Fund - Visegrad Fund\" width=\"337\" height=\"171\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p class=\"excerpt\">&#8220;The new Democratic Wo\/Men of the Western Balkans&#8221; is an international Visegrad funded project with 7 partner organisations.
