One of Europe’s biggest student association<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

AEGEE-Budapest is one of the most populated student associations taking place in the capital. It provides exchanges, thematic trainings, conferences, summer universities and countless events for their members. If you feel like something is missing from your student life, \u00a0do not hesitate, come to our local events and have a closer look on how our association functions. Here, you are not only a member of a fascinating society but you can also discover Europe!<\/p>\n

AEGEE-Budapest’s history began in the 1990s when it became the first local branch of AEGEE-Europe on the Eastern side of the Iron Curtain, pioneering the expansion of the network. Since its founding, AEGEE-Budapest has hosted prestigious events, including the 1991 AGORA, a conference that brought together 600 participants. This achievement was repeated four years later, with several other international events organized in the meantime.<\/p>\n

The organization took its current form in 2005 when it officially adopted the name Eur\u00f3pai Hallgat\u00f3k H\u00e1l\u00f3zat\u00e1nak Egyes\u00fclete<\/em> (Association of European Students). Since then, AEGEE-Budapest has grown into the third-largest local branch of AEGEE. Its members come from diverse backgrounds, including economics, engineering, business administration, computer science, and even recent graduates. One thing is certain\u2014you will find tasks and opportunities that align with your interests.<\/p>\n

As a member of AEGEE-Budapest, you can participate in international events as well as get involved in the local community. Weekly working group meetings and social programs provide a platform for engagement, and this way, you can not only develop professionally but also form lasting friendships in a welcoming and vibrant community.<\/p>\n

In addition to these activities, you can contribute to organizing international events hosted by AEGEE-Budapest, take on smaller tasks within the working groups, or even bring your own ideas to life. AEGEE-Budapest is always open to new ideas and proposals, so if you want to be a part of the organization, you have the opportunity to shape it according to your vision.<\/p>\n
