Last may the 12 some AEGEE-Bilbao members and other 16 foreign students went to Butr\u00f3n castle. Not to visit it, despite it being a \u201cfairy tale\u201d castle, but because we were going to descend the river in canoes.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n Tras unos tensos momentos, en los que m\u00e1s de uno pens\u00f3 que se iba a ahogar, empezamos a remar r\u00eda abajo. Por supuesto, en cinco minutos ya se hab\u00edan formado el grupo \u201clento\u201d y el grupo \u201cr\u00e1pido\u201d. La bajada fue muy tranquila, disfrutando del bonito paisaje, remando pl\u00e1cidamente\u2026 Hasta que alguien empez\u00f3 a salpicar a los dem\u00e1s con el remo.<\/p>\n Entonces se desat\u00f3 la guerra. M\u00e1s de uno termin\u00f3 calado hasta los huesos, incluso uno de los monitores de Troka Abentura<\/a> que nos acompa\u00f1aba recibi\u00f3 su merecido. Pero la cosa no termin\u00f3 all\u00ed, ya que algunos valientes piratas se atrevieron a volcar las canoas de los dem\u00e1s, tir\u00e1ndolos al agua (y, en ocasiones, cayendo ellos tambi\u00e9n). M\u00e1s de una canoa termin\u00f3 panza arriba \u00a1\u00a1m\u00e1s de seis veces!!<\/p>\n Al llegar a la desembocadura de la r\u00eda en Plentzia, desembarcamos y nos dimos un ba\u00f1o all\u00ed mismo, en la fr\u00eda y salada agua. La pelea continu\u00f3 en forma de aguadillas para algunos\u2026<\/p>\n Despu\u00e9s de una necesaria ducha, fuimos a comer al pinar de Gorliz. Aunque nuestra intenci\u00f3n era organizar una barbacoa y, quiz\u00e1, subir al faro, el mal tiempo nos lo impidi\u00f3. Nos tuvimos que conformar con comernos unos bocatas, eso s\u00ed, en muy buena compa\u00f1\u00eda.<\/p>\n Un fin de semana de estos iremos al faro de Gorliz, haremos una barbacoa en el pinar y pasaremos el d\u00eda en la playa. \u00a1Os mantendremos informados!<\/p>\n \u00a1\u00a1Nos vemos pronto!!<\/p>\n After the first scary moments, when more than one thought they would drown, we started rowing down the river. Of course, in five minutes there were already a \u201cslow\u201d group and a \u201cfast\u201d group. Everyone was very calm and quiet, enjoying the nice landscape, rowing peacefully\u2026 Until someone started splashing the others with the oar.<\/p>\n Then the war was unleashed. More than one ended up wet to the bones, even one of the Troka Abentura<\/a> instructors escorting us got what he deserved. But the thing didn\u2019t end there, as some brave pirates dared to try to flip other canoes, throwing other people to the water (and, sometimes, getting wet themselves). More than one canoe ended upside down more than six times!!<\/p>\n When we got to the river mouth in Plentzia, we landed and had a bath right there, in the cold salty water. The fight went on as duckings for some\u2026<\/p>\n After a much needed shower, we went to have lunch in Gorliz pinewood. Although our intention was to make a barbeque and maybe going to the lighthouse, the crappy weather prevented us from it. We settled for some sandwiches in a very good company.<\/p>\n One of these weekends we will go to Gorliz lighthouse, will do a barbeque in the pinewood and spend the day at the beach.
