The aim of the Agora is to decide on the work we are all doing as an organisation, control the work of those who administer it directly (the Comit\u00e9 Directeur and the Commissions), change whatever we don\u2019t like and suggest new ideas to be applied in the future. The Agora is a forum where opinions from all around our Network are shared. It is the direct participation of all the Locals in the administration of our organisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every Spring and Autumn, an Agora gathers over 800 AEGEE members for 4-5 days in order to discuss key questions, elect new teams for administrative bodies of the Association, follow activity reports and vote for changes to the existing rules. The Agora is organised by an AEGEE Local and coordinated by the special body called&nbsp;the Chair Team&nbsp;in cooperation with&nbsp;the Comit\u00e9 Directeur&nbsp;(Board of Directors).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">Objectives and tasks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Agora has the following tasks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Voting upon the Activity Plan and Report of the Board of Directors and Working Groups, as well as the Financial Report of AEGEE-Europe as presented by the Financial Director;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Voting upon the future development of the association and setting the general guidelines of AEGEE-Europe&#8217;s policies, projects and programmes as proposed by the&nbsp;Comit\u00e9 Directeur, AEGEE Locals or&nbsp;European Bodies&nbsp;(e.g.&nbsp;Strategic Plan);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deciding about modifying the Statutes of AEGEE-Europe with a 2\/3 majority of the delegates; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electing the members of the&nbsp;Comit\u00e9 Directeur, the Commissions of AEGEE-Europe, and coordinators of Working Groups.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">Useful terms to know<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\">Type of sessions held during the event<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Plenary<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Every morning and evening<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Most important topics are discussed and presented<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Candidates present themselves<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Attendance for delegates<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Prytanium<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Smaller group of delegates and envoys discussing proposals and<br>reports<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Multiple parallel sessions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Attendance for delegates<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Workshop<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Chance to learn or train on a specific topic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mostly intended for visitors and envoys<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Delegates can attend if they do not need to be anywhere else<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Progress Meeting<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Discuss ideas or future proposals, strategies, or progress of the organisation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Give recommendation for future acts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not mandatory for delegates<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\" id=\"Participation-Types\">Participation Types<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Delegates<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Delegates speak on behalf of their Antenna which elected them at their own Local Agora.
